World Prematurity Day

Today, November 17th, is World Prematurity Day.  I can’t think of a better post than to bring some attention to this important day!  My four little ones arrived 7 weeks early last August, and without research and medical advances, they might not have survived.  Thank goodness we didn’t have to face that, but many parents do.  Spread the word today and every day about prematurity and the importance of research to help future babies born too early.

Here are my sweet babies, in the first few hours of their lives.

It brings tears to my eyes to look back on these pictures, and remember how it felt to see them in their isolettes, so tiny and fragile.  But thankfully, they received excellent care, tons of prayers and so much love, and they are now running, climbing, loud little one year olds!!

  1. I’m so thankful for how healthy and beautiful your babies are today and for God and the Drs who made it possible. Not to mention you mama! You did an amazing job cooking those babies as long as possible. 🙂 So happy for you and your family.
